The Bible. We believe in the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired of God, and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life. (II Timothy 3:16, 17; II Peter 1:20, 21; Matthew 5:18; John 16:12, 13)
God. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; II Corinthians 13:14)
Jesus. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man. (John 1:1, 2, 14; Luke 1:35)
Man & Sin. We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also the spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word and deed. (Genesis 1:26, 27; Romans 3:23; 5:12; Ephesians 2:1, 3:12)
Salvation. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who by faith receive Him as their personal Savior are eternally saved and justified on the ground of His blood, shed on Calvary, and thereby become the children of God. (Romans 3:24, 25; I Peter 1:3-5; 2:24; Ephesians 1:7)
Jesus' Resurrection. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His ascension into heaven and His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate. (Acts 1:9, 10; Hebrews 7:25; 9:24; Romans 8:34; I John 2:1, 2)
The Return of Christ. We believe in "that Blessed Hope", the personal, pre-millennial and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Titus 2:11-13; I John 3:2, 3)
The Afterlife. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all the dead - the saved to eternal life and blessedness, the unsaved to eternal conscious suffering and woe. (Matthew 25:46; John 5:28, 29; 11:25, 26; Revelation 20:5, 6, 12, 13)
Missions / Outreach. We believe in the preaching of the gospel to every creature and edification of the individual members of the body of Christ. (Mark 16:15; Ephesians 4:11-13)
Ordinances. We recognize the ordinances of water baptism, by immersion, and the Lord's supper as a Scriptural means of testimony for the church in this age. (Matthew 28:19, 20; Acts 8:35-38; 18:8; I Corinthians 11:2, 23-26)
Spiritual Gifts. We believe that God is sovereign in the bestowment of all His gifts: and that the gifts of evangelists, pastors, and teachers are sufficient for the perfecting of the saints today; and, that speaking in tongues and the working of sign miracles gradually ceased as the New Testament Scriptures were completed and their authority became established. (I Corinthians 12:4-11; II Corinthians 12:12; Ephesians 4:7-12)
God's Intervention. We also believe that God does hear and answer the prayer of faith, in accord with His own will, for the sick and afflicted. (John 15:7; I John 5:14, 15)
